The Plans Change

As with all sailors, we have to be flexible when making plans. The whole point of moving aboard and planning our sailing careers is that we no longer have to adhere to a schedule, so if we change our minds about sailing here or there, it’s okay!

The Channel Islands off the coast of California.
The Channel Islands

Our original plan was that we would close the office, move aboard and live aboard full-time for a month or so, then sail the Channel Islands until around February 2020. Then we would south into the Sea of Cortez. We were going to sail around in the Sea for a few months, then sail north to Puerto Penasco where we were going to haul out and put the boat on the hard for a few months. Bottom paint and through-hulls were in order, along with repainting the topsides. After that, we planned to spend a few months on our property in Arizona, then return to the boat for more adventures. About Captain Tom

Over 10 years sailing and over 3500 miles under our keel. Was an engineer (EE) for over 30 years, then after moving into management, decided that the corporate world was no longer for me. Ran my wife's law office for 15 years and recently retired. Now we live aboard and sail the California coast, soon to leave for the Sea of Cortez.
